The generator is made using quality non-corrosive materials aluminium, 316 stainless steel and copper, and weighs 45kg. It is a non-cogging generator designed to ensure easy start-up for wind turbines.

Generators with an iron core have a cogging effect as coils pass the magnets. This air core turbine provides a smoother start up, and gives a maximum efficiency of 94% conversion of shaft power to electricity. We have stopped producing wind turbines and have a stock of these generators to sell at cost which represent excellent value considering the quality. This is a generator which has proven to be extremely reliable in extreme conditions. We have abused some of these generators mercilessly when testing our turbine sometimes by accident.... and never managed to damage one. The shaft on this generator is fixed.

There are tappings on the generator body to take a pully. We also provide a flange which can be used with Multiwing hubs for wind turbine blades.
