GreenergyStar Dump Load for 12V & 24V Wind Turbines. Why do we need a Dump Load? As we all know, wind turbines are designed to operate in a loaded situation so it can generate power to either the battery / the grid. It is, however, not designed to operate under a no load (open circuit) situation because doing so will put a lot of strain on the wind turbine components and speeds out the wear out process which will eventually will lead the turbine to self destruct. Therefore, a dump load is required to burn out the extra energy when the battery is full OR when the grid is out.

Because of this, a dump load is also known as a "diversion load". This dump load is designed to work with GreenergyStar SolarWind Hybrid RX Charge Controller.
